Click here to go to the Statue of Liberty website. Statue of Liberty - How much really needs to be said about this monument?  For decades, the Statue of Liberty has been a leading attraction in the nation.  She is the best representation of what America is all about.  Give your students the opportunity to see this splendid icon of our country, and if you are feeling energetic you can take them on the 22-story hike to the crown of the statue.  Don’t feel bad if you are not up for the climb, because you can still enjoy a visit to the museum located in the pedestal of the statue.  Here you can view exhibits on immigration that recall the arrival of millions of our ancestors.  Also, you can learn about how the Statue of Liberty was built.  Click on the photo to visit the Statue of Liberty website.
Click here to find out more about the Central Park Central Park - Isn’t it time to finally see what all of the fuss is about?  What is so special about the massive 843 acre Central Park ?  Well, for starters, it is an enormous area in the middle of New York City where you can see 275 of the 800 species of birds in North America .  Also, you and your students can take a tour of all of the statues including the famous “Mother Goose”.  After that, you can make a stop at each of the seven beautiful fountains of Central Park, especially the most well known of them all, the “ Bethesda Terrace”.  If this is not impressive enough for your students, they will probably be amazed when they begin to place certain areas of the park with scenes from many popular movies and television shows.  Click on the photo to visit the Central Park website.
